Adolescent Intervention Program is\designed by UNICEF with support ofDistrict Administration towards overall betterment of life & lifestyle ofthe young and adolescent population (10 to 19 years). The convergent strategyof the program on adolescent will aim to achieve better outcomes in the areasof adolescent development, health and nutrition education, protection andempowerment through information and skills development. By 2018, the strategyshould aim to contribute towards achievement of the following goals : i) 20% increase in adolescent’s enrollment insecondary education; ii) 30% decrease in early school leaving; iii) 10%decrease in the occurrence o9f early marriage and pregnancy of the girls aged15-19 years. & iv) 0% occurrence in child marriage.
