The BRIDDHI projectis designed by CARE India with the support of the Horlicks AaaharAbhiyaan aninitiative of GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd. The objective of theproject is to improve the nutritional status of severely malnourished childrenin the age group of 3-6 years. Identification and follow up of children insevere grades of malnutrition, home visit and nutrition counselling, nutritiondemonstration and referral for health care are the basic services ensured forthe identified children. Some of the key strategies include case management,capacity building, stakeholder orientation, growth monitoring, and community-based behaviour change communication. Agragami as Local partner NGO implemented the project at Jhalda-II &Purulia-II block in the district of Purulia since March 2013 in closecoordination with the Departments of Women & Child Development and Health.
