PDAMSMSimplemented the Pilot Project “Weaning from work to School – withdrawing Children from Hazardous Occupations” atJhalda-II block with support from UNICEF & Dist. Administration, Purulia.The object of the project was to arrange a substitute income generation byproviding training and other inputs to the families of the child labours tofree their children from doing jobs. And with this innovative programme, a large number of child labour have been enrolled with formal educationwithdrawing from hazardous occupation and at the same time, the mothers of thechild labour has been involved with different income generation activitieswith proper training & support
