 HEVS......A Pilot Initiative in Purulia in Convergence with NRLM & HEALTH

The HEVS project thrives to create a convergence between the NationRural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) through the strengthening of SGH subclusterand platforms by training them to promote health education in their monthlymeetings subsequently establishing an effective flow of information from thecommunity level to the frontline workers to brings positive changes in thereproductive health of rural women in the district of Purulia. The project does not include the initiation of any parallel systemsor the introduction of any new human resource in its implementation strategy.It seeks only to strengthen the existing platforms, which are already operationalwithin the villages (PRI, SHGs, and VHSNCs).

The initiative was being  undertaken  involving 1114 nos. of SHGs and 88nos. ofVillage Organizations (VO) in Jaypur & Purulia-II  Blocksin the district of Purulia covering a total of 8 GPs (4 GPs from each block)and 103 subclusters. in partnership with CARE, India, W.B.
