The program was initiated at five sub-centres of Pusti &Matari Khamar G.P. of Jhalda-I Block under W.B.Civil Society Support Programme supported by DFID, UK & PRIA, Kolkata. The program aims topromote Institutional delivery/ Safe deliveries by trained personnel (Dhai))with focus on ANC coverage along with newborn care.
Creation of Delivery Centre (Safe Space), placement of VillageAmbulance (Covered Tri-cycle with bed), Training of local Birth Attendants onadopting five clean methods and different BCC activities for awarenessgeneration has been performed with support from PRI and Health officials.
